Operated by the Empire Area Heritage Group, the museum’s four building complex- Main Building; One-Room School; 1911 Hose House (Fire Station); and the Billy Beeman Barn- is recognized by many as one of the most unique in Northern Michigan. Join the community in celebrating the Museum's Heritage Day on Saturday, October 11th, 2014 from 1pm to 4pm and experience for yourself the rich history of Leelanau. Events include early-century cooking, blacksmithing, player piano, and woodworking demonstrations, music box music, and old tractors, cars and bikes on display.
