Save the Dates: National Park Service Announces Fee-Free Entrance Days

Hang at the beach, cycle the trails, and explore “America’s Most Beautiful Place” in 2014. The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is one of 133 of America’s national parks that will be waiving their normal entrance fee on select days this year.

For the cost of one night at the movies ($20), you can enjoy admission to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore for an entire year. Per person entrance fees ($5) and seven-day, private vehicle passes ($10) are another reasonable way to experience the secluded beaches, amazing trails, and stunning naturals scenery that the Lakeshore is known for.
But nothing beats free. last month, the National Park Service announced the ollowing dates when park rangers Sleeping Bear will be waiving vehicles through the entrance gates for free. The dates are:
- Presidents Day Weekend February 15th – 17th
- Opening weekend of National Park Week April 19th – 20th
- National Park Service Birthday August 25th
- National Public Lands Day September 27th
- Veterans Day November 11th
